An information resource for and about
trans* people in the Province of Alberta

Trans* health traditionally follows the recommendations set by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH).

WPATH has a Canadian counterpart professional association, CPATH.

Probably most helpfully, Rainbow Health Ontario and the Sherbourne Health Centre have produced a downloadable document outlining Guidelines and Protocols for Hormone Therapy and Primary Health Care for Trans Clients (updated May 6, 2015).

Although there have been a number of studies of trans* populations in the US, Europe and around the world, there are few Canadian organizations that conduct them. The most notable is the Trans PULSE Project.
